our programs
-
The art exhibition program at Cairo Gallery serves as the backbone of our activities, offering a creative space that brings together the works of emerging and established artists. We focus on showcasing innovative and new forms of art, exploring contemporary artistic trends, and presenting projects that leave a lasting impact on the local art scene. Cairo Gallery also welcomes partnerships and collaborations with other institutions and external curators to host exhibitions, fostering cultural exchange and expanding the artistic influence.
VIEW EXHIBITHIONS -
Is an annual solo exhibition program organized by Cairo Gallery to support emerging artists and recent graduates from art schools and other disciplines who aspire to pursue art as a profession. The program aims to empower participants to develop and showcase their artistic projects by providing a stimulating training and production environment, with a focus on hands-on experience and professional collaboration.
The program does not adhere to a fixed thematic framework but rather emerges from the intersections of the interests of the selected participating artists. These artists are chosen through an open call via our online platform. Throughout the year, they engage in activities and programs provided by the gallery, including one-on-one mentoring sessions with curators and seasoned artists. The program also includes field visits to exhibitions and art events to encourage interaction with the local art scene.
How the Program Works
-Workshops and Educational Activities: Participants are granted free access to the Cairo Master Classes program, supported by the gallery, offering them opportunities to acquire new artistic and professional skills.
-Professional Mentorship: Artists collaborate closely with curators and practitioners from the field, helping refine their projects and develop their creative methodologies.
-Engagement with the Art Scene: Through field visits and discussions, participants are encouraged to explore and understand the dynamics of the local art scene.
-Engaging Local and International Curators: The program invites local and international curators and artists as guest participants, broadening participants' horizons and fostering global collaborations.
Program Outcome
The program culminates annually with an event where each participant presents a solo mini-exhibition (Mini Solo) at Cairo Gallery’s dedicated exhibition space. This format allows participants to showcase the new works developed during the program, highlighting their unique artistic identities. The projects are documented and promoted through Cairo Gallery’s digital platform, enabling participants to reach a wider audience and expand their visibility.
Role of Cairo Gallery’s Digital Platform [Website]

-Providing educational digital resources to support emerging artists in their continued development.

Selection Criteria
The application process is open annually to all emerging artists and recent graduates through an online application form. Submissions are reviewed by an independent jury comprising curators and local and international experts, who evaluate applications based on the quality of submitted works and alignment with the program's objectives.
